Chapter 482 - 481: Damian, I’m So Tired and Hurt
Bella Acker ran out of the hospital and kept running far down the street.
Her legs had started trembling, and with a stagger, she fell to the sidewalk by the road.
The knees of her pants were torn, her fair knees scraped a large chunk of bloody skin off, and her palms were bloodied with cuts.
This fall seemed to have sapped all the strength from her body, and she couldn’t get up from the ground despite struggling.
"Wuuu wuuu wuuu..." Bella Acker lay on the ground, unable to suppress the grievances and sadness in her heart, and cried out painfully.
Passersby occasionally saw her lying there, crying so sorrowfully, feared getting into trouble, and bypassed her from afar.
Damian Sinclair chased out of the hospital but still couldn’t find Bella Acker.
Cecilia Lynch heard the commotion and quickly followed, seeing the blood dripping from his hand, she screamed in fright, "Damian, you’re bleeding!"
Damian Sinclair didn’t pay her any attention, scanning the hospital’s plaza but couldn’t find any trace of Bella Acker. Damn it, where did that little woman run off to?
A sharp pain twisted in his stomach, and Damian Sinclair raised his hand to cover his stomach, ignoring everything else to look for Bella Acker in other places.
Cecilia Lynch rushed forward to grab him by the waist and cried, "Damian, I beg you, let’s go back to the ward to see the doctor, okay? Your stomach just got a little better, and this could really kill you."
"Let go!" Damian Sinclair said coldly with a stern face.
"No! I won’t let go!" Cecilia Lynch held his waist tightly, crying out, "Unless you go back with me to see the doctor, even if you beat me to death today, I won’t let go! Damian, please, let’s go see the doctor!"
Damian Sinclair’s stomach cramps worsened, and the blood from his hand dripped to the ground. He staggered, and his whole body suddenly fell backward.
Cecilia Lynch frantically supported him, screaming sharply, "Help! Doctor! Doctor!"
Medical personnel rushed out upon hearing the cry, quickly carrying the unconscious Damian Sinclair back to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Bella Acker lay on the ground crying for a long time before slowly getting up.
Her knees and palms hurt terribly, but she didn’t want to deal with the wounds now and took a taxi back to her apartment like a wandering soul.
Everything in the apartment was the same as when she left, even the exercise books she didn’t have time to put away before leaving at dawn still lay on the living room coffee table.
Besides those, there were also the water cups, slippers, and printed photos she took with Damian. Standing in the living room, Bella Acker seemed to see Damian busy cooking in the kitchen if she just turned around.
"Bella, are you hungry? Dinner will be ready soon."
His deep, magnetic voice seemed to echo in her ears, causing Bella Acker to suddenly turn towards the kitchen.
It was an auditory hallucination!
The empty kitchen held nothing.
No tall, warm figure, no deep voice, no gentle smile.
Everything was empty.
She looked around this vast house, once so familiar, now turned so strange and hollow. Like her heart at this moment, chilly wind whistling through it, restless and empty, the ache making her teeth chatter.
Bella Acker stood blankly in the living room, tears streaming once more.
"Damian, I’m so tired and in so much pain. I don’t want to hold on any longer. I want to let go, but your shadow is everywhere. What should I do... Tell me, what should I do. Wuuu wuuu wuuu..." Bella crouched down, arms tightly wrapping around herself, crying out in anguish again.
