"I like to be direct." Serena said, "Either be together, or tell me and my brother it’s nothing?"

This way, Wyatt and I wouldn’t have to guess whether you two will be together!

"Serena!"

Claire softened her voice, calling softly, "I just want to take good care of you and my brother."

"You’re not old." Serena set the spoon into her bowl, looking at Claire, saying, "Mom, even a man like Joel Quinn you would want, wanting him isn’t difficult at all!"

Joel Quinn is so terrible, yet Claire is willing to marry him!

Simon is more terrible, but he is handsomer and richer than Joel Quinn!

"Serena, I know I was wrong about things in the past."

"Everyone has blind moments."

She couldn’t judge men correctly, one Simon, one Joel Quinn, it’s all true, just don’t be blind anymore.

"Mom, you can be blind once more." Wyatt chimed in, turning his head to look at the silent Simon beside him.

"Dad, what are you thinking!"

"Serena, Wyatt."

Simon deepened his voice, looking at the two of them, "Don’t meddle in this matter."

"Then what are you thinking?" Serena pursued.

"Playing ambiguous? Play secret admiration? Then when your hair’s white, one foot in the grave, come crying."

Serena derided, she just doesn’t like hesitations in emotional matters.

If you want to be together, then be together, if not, then separate and find your own happiness.

"Serena."

Claire sighed lightly, realizing that if Serena didn’t get an answer today, she wouldn’t give up.

"Mom just said she wants to take care of you and Wyatt." Claire said again, "I don’t want to start over."

The past with Simon caused immense hurt to Claire, she has shadows in her heart.

"Starting over isn’t hard." Serena replied calmly, "My brother and I hope you two might be together."

"Also, don’t say whose wrong caused more harm, both of you hurt my brother and me."

"But people look forward, you two are neither young nor old."

"I don’t want to!"

Claire knew Serena was persuading her to be with Simon, so she straightened her voice, bluntly responding.
