Chapter 4: Detailed Foot Patches
Chapter 4: Detailed Foot Patches
"Oh—!" Terra watched Andrea's fighting figure with surprise through the wall.
Yes, through walls. Although Terra has become three-dimensional in the new version, its perspective is still the same as in the two-dimensional version. If you had to give an analogy, it's like looking at a painting inside a frame from outside the frame, and you can see things behind the walls. In short, it feels very magical.
He suspected it might be a bug, but it could also be a feature.
Following the guide in the distance, Terra noticed that although the guide's single-hit damage was similar to Terra's own using weapons, the new version of the guide's combat AI was much more flexible and its attacks were more frequent.
When Terra saw the guide walk out of the one-way wall, she just thought he'd fire a few arrows and be done with it, hoping the goblins would run him over and destroy his tombstone. But she never expected that she, alone with a broken bow, would end the battle so easily. He didn't even need to lift a finger.
"Awesome!" Terra dug open the cube and ran to Andrea, hugging the sweaty elf and frantically rubbing her head.
"Wow, that's amazing! You're so incredible, Mom!"
"Hoo hoo~ I am an elf after all~" Although Andrea was startled by Terra's intimate actions, perhaps because of their recent shared hardships, she was not so resistant. Besides, Terra had let her use such a good bow.
Although it's undignified for an elf to have their head rubbed like a pet, it's not unacceptable to do it just this once.
Despite having angular, square hands, they actually feel quite soft to the touch. How annoying!
The touch reminded Andrea of the feeling of her mother patting her head.
After enjoying it for a while, she suddenly realized that the smell of her own body was offending Terra's nose, so she quickly pushed her away.
Terra, however, wasn't angry. Instead, she went to lick up the corpses in the distance.
Andrea didn't understand what use the things these goblins had. Even if they were somewhat useful, a traveler shouldn't carry too much unnecessary stuff.
She walked to a tree, put down her bow, and with trembling fingers, she untied the knot on her boots, freeing her feet. She sat with her knees drawn up, toes pointing upwards, enjoying the breeze.
Looking at the bow with its broken string, the one that had been with her for so many years, Andrea gritted her teeth.
Terra opened the inventory in the upper left corner of her view and glanced at the monster encyclopedia next to it.
Information about enemies or NPCs killed by Terra will be displayed in the encyclopedia, such as how many were killed, their health and attack values, and what items dropped after they were killed.
Although Terra didn't actually fight, Andrea is a guide NPC, so any enemies she kills will be counted as Terra's kills and recorded in the bestiary.
"Goblin Rebellion? So that's a new enemy."
Terra eventually found 26 rags on the goblin corpses, while the goblin banner only required 10.
Although Terra's Law came into play once when collecting rags, with the first four goblins dropping 2 rags each, and the fifth goblin dropping 2 rags to reach the 10 limit, it only dropped 1.
But it's not a big deal; the number of goblins makes up for it.
Terra hadn't expected to gather the materials for the Goblin Banner so quickly. Now all she needed was a loom to craft the banner.
However, Terra currently lacks both the loom and the sawmill as crafting tables.
Timber is not lacking, but Terra currently has no iron ingots, nor an anvil to make chains from them.
A sawmill cannot be made without iron chains, and a loom needs to be assembled at the sawmill.
If we can go down into the cave to explore and open treasure chests, these problems will be easily solved.
Go check if the guide has any new tips regarding the progress.

"We won't find that traitor anytime soon, so let's continue with the mission and be adventurers. The wind blowing against my feet feels so nice!"
Terra suddenly appeared from the side, startling Andrea.
"This female-style texture pack is so detailed! It even includes the wrinkles on the soles of the feet!" Terra was staring at her feet.
"Don't look!" Andrea blushed and changed to a duck-like sitting position, covering the soles of her feet with her hands.
Why does Terra walk without making a sound?
"The feet in this anthropomorphic material are made so pink and delicate, isn't that just for show?"
"Pink and rosy!? I didn't mean to show it to you, as if I were some kind of shameless elf! Cough cough, anyway, thank you Terra for saving me, otherwise I'd probably be in some goblin lair right now, oh oh oh oh."
"So the new version has that kind of storyline? Red, you did a good job! I knew I shouldn't have saved you~" Disappointment bubbles appeared above Terra's head.
"You pervert! You're acting all innocent after receiving a thank you from an elf. Oh, and here's your bow and arrows back."
Andrea reluctantly handed the bow and arrows to Terra, even though she would be without a bow now. But because her own bow was broken, she couldn't let Terra, her savior, also lose a good bow.
When she turned around, she found that the bow and arrow were still on her.
It was given out again, and then it came back.
She swung her arm and flung the bow and arrow away with a snap, but unsurprisingly, when she looked down, it was still in her hand.
What kind of magic did Terra use this time?
"I put it in your inventory, if you can just throw it away like that, I'll be at a huge loss."
"Does it mean some kind of magic that binds people and things?" Andrea tried to decipher the meaning of Terra's strange words. "So you're just giving this bow to a stranger like me like this?"
Terra is a good person.
"This bow isn't worth much. Once I advance the progress, I'll get better bows like Daedalus and Tsunami."
"Are these the names of bows? They're pretty cool. Tell me how you got them, hehehe~ Hiss." Andrea clung to Terra like a lovesick girl, then realized she had gone too far and quickly backed away.
"Ahem~ I'm going to the nearest town to become an adventurer, so we probably won't see each other again for a while."
"Thank you again for saving a pure elf and for gifting me such a fine bow. Although I have nothing to repay you with right now."
"But you can go there later and ask me for any reward equivalent to my life. I will try my best to meet even the most unreasonable demands."
"The spirits of our Amber House always repay debts and repay kindness."
Terra wasn't interested in the guide's promise of gratitude, because he heard something more interesting.
"Town? Adventurers? Opening treasure chests?"
"More or less."
It seems this is how the new version progresses. No wonder he couldn't find anything in the forest; it turns out that the treasure chests and the like have been moved to the adventure mode.
A smiling face appeared above Terra's head: "I want to be an adventurer too!"
"Hey, Terra's destination is the same as mine?" Andrea's eyes sparkled. "Terra, are you alone?"
"I'm considered human, right? The new version even has a species option when creating a character?"
"Oh, I didn't mean to discriminate against your race. I was asking if you have any companions?"
Terra was taken aback.
"without."
"Can I invite you to team up with me? Although adventurers do go it alone, as far as I know, they mostly team up. Your blocks combined with my archery skills would definitely make a great combination."
Terra thought that the old version of NPCs would only stay in the house he built, but he didn't expect that the new version of NPCs could go on adventures with him. No wonder the guide's combat AI was strengthened.
"Okay, Director, I'll team up with you."
"Yay!" Andrea made a fist in front of her chest, then scratched her cheek with her fingers. "Now that we're teammates, I'd like to make a request. Could you please stop calling me 'Guide'?"
"Perhaps you, Terra, are a stranger here and don't know this, but among the elves, only those high elves who can summon heroes from other worlds and assist them in saving the world can be given honorary titles such as 'Beacon' or 'Guide'."
"A lowly elf like me, who can only shoot, doesn't deserve such a title."
Terra's head emitted a sun bubble: "But my goal is to save the world! Isn't your role as guide helping me? Besides, no matter what others say, a guide is a guide."
"Eh? Ah~ Hmm~ Don't think that this kind of fake flattery will make an elf happy." Although Andrea didn't know what she had actually helped Terra in, her ears turned red, she rubbed her toes, and turned her head away.
"Since Director Xiang doesn't like being called that, then~"
Terra thought for a moment, then suddenly realized.
"You're my second mentor mom, so I guess I'll just call you a cross-dresser."
Andrea whirled around: "Crossdresser? I may not be as extreme as my mother, but I'm not so insignificant that you can insult me like this, am I? Seriously, stop calling me 'Mom' and 'girly'."
Andrea covered her face: "Just call me by my name."
"Okay, Mom—Delia, never mind, I'll just keep calling you Director."
"Man, Andrea? Oh well, whatever." Andrea coughed twice to change the subject. "Terra, you're actually a very powerful mage, aren't you? Could you tell me a little about the principle behind that magic that places the cubes?"
Terra looked puzzled: "Cubes? Why are you talking about magic? I've been collecting stars every night to synthesize magic crystals lately."
"But I don't have any magical weapons, so how am I supposed to use magic? Being a mage isn't a very powerful profession, is it? It consumes a lot of mana, and there's also the magic disease."
"Oh, I understand."
"There's definitely a key point about wood blocks: you must use an axe to chop down trees, and you must use a pickaxe to mine wood blocks!"
Listening to Terra's nonsensical words, it's not good for her to have such thoughts about her savior and teammate.
But Andrea still wanted to say something at that moment: this guy...
ill!
However, Andrea was also relieved; people with abnormal strength usually have abnormal minds as well.
The elder in the clan was making strange noises like "oh ho ho ho" while reading, which made the library smell bad. When asked, she said she liked the pleasure of knowledge going in and out of her brain.
